In the Disha house, the word means the road in English, we shelter, protect and raise 25 young girls,

between 6 and 18 years old. They all come from the slums of Varanasi.

All were undernourished, illiterate, some drug addicted and often sick …

We offer them a new road for their life.

Today they are part of a lively, healthy and loving community where for the first time they can hope to have a future.

They are clothed and well-fed, receive regular medical and psychological care.

Every morning they go to school. In the afternoon, they attend personalized coaching classes, are taught dancing and sewing and can develop computer skills, at the house.

Originally the Disha project was sponsored by large charitable Foundations but those contracts have reached their terms.

Today, to continue providing these young girls with health, education, vocational training and to give them a chance for a normal life, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

PLEASE HELP US KEEP THE DISHA HOUSE ALIVE !
