License Plate Purse (With Tutorial)

Craftster member NynaeveAS has made this excellent purse from repurposed license plates and has kindly shared the tutorial – see it here. I might just have a go at making one of these (any excuse to play with power tools :)).

Love the purse! Where can i get the plates to make. I havn’t found any. Believe me i’ve looked everywhere. When i go down a lone street and see a car, i think 5 finger discount? Then i picture myself in front of a judge explaining how i needed that license plate to make a purse. Making plates in jail, is not my bag.

I went to the junk yard and they gave me as many as I could carry out. I left with 79 new and old plates.
