European Graduate School
Founded in 1994, EGS offers degree programs, as well as Professional Development, for practicing professionals on a Graduate and Post-Graduate level. Its uniquely dynamic academic setting in its campus in Saas-Fee high up in the Swiss Alps - allows a creative encounter with the foremost practitioners and thinkers in Expressive Arts (Therapy, Education, Coaching, Consulting, Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding) and in Philosophy, Art and Critical Thought (Architecture, Art, Contemporary Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Film, Literary Theory, Literature, Media Studies, Performance Art, Photography, and Video).

After serving EGS since its inception, Margo Fuchs Knill, Ph.D. and Founding Dean of the Arts, Health & Society Division announced she would formally step down from the Deanship as of October 31st, 2023, and from the management duties that come along with that position.
As of November 1st, EGS president Prof. Dr. Christopher Fynsk, will oversee the Arts, Health & Society Division as a Dean ad interim until a successor is in place. Familiar EGS leadership in the persons of José Miguel Calderon Ph.D. and Barbara Hielscher, Ph.D. Candidate will continue to serve as the academic management team of both, the MA Programs and the Ph. D Program.

THE EXPRESSIVE ARTS POETRY CIRCLE
Facilitated by Prof. Margo Fuchs Knill, Ph.D.
What for poetry, and insofar can poetic writing support resilience, connectivity and balsam for body, mind and soul – especially in times where we are shaken by the terrible? I am interested to explore further with you the notion of ‘resilience poetry’, and poetry with its connection to the solution -based approach in expressive arts. The frame is educational, soothing, courageously meaningful, and a platform to cultivate connectivity in a time of uproar and recreation of hope.
As a point of departure, I put in quest-ion the poetic riddle by Pablo Neruda:
POETRY IS AN ACT OF PEACE.
Poetry is an act of peace. Peace goes into the making of a poet as flour goes into the making of bread.
