WELCOME TO DARNUM PRIMARY SCHOOL

Darnum Primary School is a rural school of approximately 160 students. It has been educating students in the beautiful township of Darnum for well over 100 years. Darnum Primary School is located amongst green farmlands looking over to the peak of Mount Worth. Only seven kilometres east of Warragul, we educate students from Darnum, Warragul and surrounding towns.

Our Vision: Darnum Primary School is an active and inclusive learning community of visible learners who aim to be the best we can be academically, socially and emotionally.

We achieve our vision of being the best we can be through living our values in all that we do. The school’s values of Friendship, Respect, Organisation, Growth and Safety (FROGS) underpin our work as a community and students are taught these values to provide them with lifelong skills that will equip them for their futures. Our vision and values are strongly reflected in all that we do; they guide our actions and behaviours as well as our planning for the future. We see our students reflecting our school values not only in their learning, but also in their interactions with each other and the way they conduct themselves at school and in the community.

Amongst the curriculum offerings, Darnum Primary School has music, science, physical education and art specialist programs as well as classroom humanities and ICT education. These subjects complement our school’s comprehensive literacy and numeracy programs.
