Gallery Route One is pleased to announce its first national exhibition of contemporary jewelry art. Juried by Seattle Metals Guild artist Eileen O’Shea, Untamed highlights the work of a myriad selection of established artists renowned for their innovations in the world of wearable art jewelry.

Untamed will feature over one hundred works by a diverse gathering of established jewelry artists, including Eliana Arenas, Talya Baharal, Amanda Barlett, Liz Clark, Petra Class, Kate Eickelberg, Peg Fetter, Ty Gillespie, Hillary Hertzler, Reiko Ishiyama. Tova Lund, Kaleigh Jones, Judith Selby Lang, Candace Loheed, Tova Lund, Eileen O’Shea, Audry Peck, Jane Pellicciotto, Elisha Roberts, Jina Set, Laura Stamper, Brooke Swanson, Christiana Updegraff, Genevieve Williamson and Jenny Windler.

The gallery also looks forward to a presentation by Mike Holmes, owner of Velvet da Vinci, a fine art gallery which showcased jewelry art and craft-based sculpture for more than twenty-five years. Based upon his extensive background with jewelry art themes and his familiarity with several of the contributing artists, Holmes will discuss the work in the exhibition as well as present additional pieces drawn from his personal collection. His talk will be held at GRO on June 29 at 3 p.m.

Gallery Route One is an arts organization located in the town of Point Reyes Station, which is adjacent to the entry for Marin County’s Point Reyes National Seashore. A regional cultural landmark since 1983, GRO not only offers rotating exhibits by member artists and Project Space shows by visiting artists, but also cultivates two community outreach programs: Artists in the Schools and the Latino Photography Project.

Gallery Route One is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Tuesday.
