We study the mechanisms that govern the development of lung cancer, with a current focus on intercellular communication systems and signaling pathways that impact tumor cells, the immune system and tumor metabolism. Because immune and metabolic alterations could influence tumor development profoundly, understanding these crucial perturbations of tumors may lead to new perspectives of treatment.
