On Friday, April 10, 2015 Riverdale Housing Animation Program fundraising committee will be hosting its 5th Annual Art Show Fundraiser, celebrating “The Art of Community” at the Baron Byng Legion Hall located at 243 Coxwell Ave. Doors will be open from 7pm to 10pm.

This event showcases local talent and fosters participation within the community with proceeds benefitting Riverdale Housing Animation Programs. Riverdale Housing Animation Programs began as an effort to address the need for free educational, recreational and creative programs for women, youth and children in the south Riverdale community. Over the past five years, the annual art show has not only raised funds to support such programming but has also provided the opportunity for community members to grow.

This year, we are pleased to showcase over 15 local artists and have pieces varying in size, type and medium. We are also featuring culinary artists as well as handcrafted cards and outer wear made by community members. Our performance artists are also sure to stop the show with Belly dance, Improv comedy, magic and songs.

Tickets are moderately priced at $20 with a 50% discount for students. Wine, cheese and refreshments are included. There are also many raffle prizes to be won including a Three day car rental, free one month pass to Moksha Yoga and a Family Pass to Ripley’s Aquarium and many more!
