RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Officer -will be responsible for the following:
- Monitor FX rates to optimize on FX transactions
- Minimise FX exposure
- Carrying out hedging transactions with bank in line with the Group’s policies and procedures
- Define and maintain procedures
- Meet Monthly Financial Reporting Closing deadlines
- Ensure proper Data input in the Navision ERP system (AP, AR, CM, FA, GL, Purchasing, Sales etc)
- Prepare Cash flow, prepare payment listing and load payments
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Prepare relevant schedules and assist in the external auditing process
- Prepare Debtors Report
- Send reminders to customers
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register
- Prepare and file VAT/TDS returns
- Carry out all administrative matters relating to staff travel
- Improve procedures/systems
- Prepare Reports
- Any other cognate duties
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in FX markets is a MUST
- Minimum ACCA Level 2 or Bsc in Accounting with at least 3 year`s experience
- Experience in ERP (Finance/Procurement/Inventory) desirable
PROFILE
- Proficient in MS Office, mainly excel
- Fluent in English and French
- Quick learner
- Proactive
