Anderson is available after injuring his hip during the first half of Saturday’s Game 1 victory. He’ll provide solid depth off the bench, with Monte Morris unlikely to experience an increase in playing time.
Tyrese Maxey

PHI Point Guard #0

Tyrese Maxey was named the winner of the George Mikan Trophy, emblematic of the NBA’s Most Improved Player.

There is no surprise here, as Maxey jumped from a solid supplementary option to a bonafide star in his fourth NBA season. Earning his first All-Star Game appearance, the 76ers guard averaged 25.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 3.0 3-pointers per game, shooting 45.0% from the field, 37.3% from three, and 86.8% from the foul line. Maxey is the second 76ers player to win the award, joining Dana Barros (1994-95). Chicago’s Coby White finished second in the voting, with Houston’s Alperen Sengun coming in third.
Grayson Allen

PHX Shooting Guard #8

Grayson Allen (right ankle) is listed as active for the Suns’ Tuesday matchup with the Timberwolves.

Allen appeared on the injury report after four points without a made field goal in Game 1. He’s set to give it another go in Game 2 and will get a chance to make up for his latest poor performance.
Kevin Love

MIA Power Forward #42

Kevin Love (left upper arm contusion) is active for the Heat’s Wednesday matchup with the Celtics.

Love isn’t a threat to miss any time after appearing on the injury report following Game 1. The Heat forward has averaged 11,3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and one assist off the bench in his previous three contests.
Giannis Antetokounmpo

MIL Power Forward #34

Giannis Antetokounmpo (left soleus strain) has been ruled out for the Bucks’ Game 2 matchup against the Pacers on Tuesday.

The Bucks’ star forward will miss his second playoff game of the postseason on Tuesday. Bobby Portis will likely continue filling in for him as a starter until his return.
Haywood Highsmith

MIA Power Forward #24

Haywood Highsmith (left upper arm contusion) is listed as active for Wednesday’s Game 2 matchup between the Heat and Celtics.

Highsmith popped up on the injury report after Game 1 but isn’t at risk to miss any time ahead of Game 2. He’s logged at least 26 minutes in three straight games since the regular season ended but was held scoreless his last time out.
Duncan Robinson

MIA Shooting Guard #55

Duncan Robinson (left facet syndrome) is listed as active for the Heat’s Game 2 matchup against the Celtics on Wednesday.

Robinson is set to play in his second straight playoff game. The Heat wing has played twice since notching a DNP against the 76ers in a play-in game and appears likely to continue contributing off the bench.
LeBron James

LAL Small Forward #23

LeBron James finished Monday’s 101-99 loss to Denver with 26 points (9-of-19 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, two blocks, and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

After committing seven turnovers in Game 1, LeBron was only responsible for two in Game 2. He did what he could in the fourth quarter, shooting 5-of-9 from the field, but the Lakers appeared to run out of gas. That impacted the cohesion of their offense, and Denver successfully walked them down, with Jamal Murray’s shot at the buzzer being the difference. The two nights off will be massive for James and the Lakers, who had to navigate a Play-In game to get into the playoffs. Game 3 is on Thursday night in Los Angeles, with the Nuggets holding a 2-0 series lead.
D'Angelo Russell

LAL Point Guard #1

D’Angelo Russell played 39 minutes in Monday’s 101-99 loss to the Nuggets, accounting for 23 points (8-of-16 FGs), three rebounds, six assists, and seven 3-pointers.

Much was made about Russell’s poor Game 1, especially considering how poorly he played in last season’s Western Conference Finals. He appeared to have a point to prove to begin Game 2, as D’Lo hit all three of his 3-point attempts and scored nine points in the first quarter. He finished with an efficient 23, shooting 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. However, he was 2-of-6 from the field in the second half, which was a decrease in production the Lakers can’t afford, given the caliber of the opponent they’re up against. Russell and the Lakers head home for Game 3 on Thursday.
Anthony Davis

LAL Power Forward #3

Anthony Davis shot 14-of-19 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Monday’s 101-99 loss to the Nuggets, accumulating 32 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 39 minutes.

Once again, Davis produced a gaudy stat line against the Nuggets. Unfortunately for him and the Lakers, they still lost the game, as Jamal Murray’s stepback jumper as time expired was the difference. And Davis offered little in the fourth quarter, missing his lone shot attempts and going scoreless with one rebound and one turnover. If the Lakers are to have a chance of winning the series, AD can’t be non-existent in crunch time. The good news for Los Angeles is that Game 3 isn’t until Thursday in Los Angeles, as the team looked gassed down the stretch on Monday.
