Companies are more intrigued than ever by Mexican manufacturing prospects. Mexico unseated China as the top exporter to the U.S. for the first time in 2023 after a multi-year climb. During a similar time period, the Laredo, Texas and Tucson, Arizona markets have skyrocketed in popularity. 

Product classification and compliance are essential yet time-consuming elements of global trade. Importers and exporters are challenged by the need to access relevant information and regulations, match product characteristics and shipment details with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) codes, and meet license requirements. In short, the trading world is a perfect candidate for artificial intelligence-based tools and capabilities, to enhance the quality and productivity of classification and compliance.

When the Automotive Industry Action Group, known as AIAG, was faced with high demand for their newly released Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) 3^rd Edition and Control Plan 1^st Edition manuals, they knew exactly where to get help. By partnering with volunteers from the Judson Center, a non-profit human service agency in Southeast Michigan that provides specialized care in the areas of autism, mental and behavioral health, disabilities, foster care, adoption, and mentoring, the AIAG team not only got their manuals shipped out to automotive OEMs and suppliers around the globe, but they also got more smiles and laughs than they could have ever imagined.
