Milan Linate Airport (LIN)
Airport Information

(Milan, Italy)

The A51 and the Corso Lodi connect Linate Airport (LIN) to central Milan and its 20 different zones, which include the Historic Centre, the Ticinese-Navigli neighbourhood and the Amendola-Fiera, where many trade fairs and exhibitions regularly take place. Just 7 km / 4 miles east of central Milan and next to Monlué, Mezzate and San Donato Milanese, Linate services some ten million passengers every 12 months, and this figure is steadily rising.

Also close to Milan's Linate Airport is the man-made Idroscalo Lake (Lake Idroscalo), which was actually previously used as an airport for flying boat-planes. Today Lake Idroscalo boasts a state-of-the-art floating stage, complete with electric roof and regularly hosts a series of open-air concerts.

At Linate Airport, passengers will find bus services to the Duomo Train Station and also the San Babila Station, along with shuttles, taxis and coaches, linking destinations such as Brescia, Lugano, Verona and also Milan's other airport, Malpensa.

About Milan Tourism

Milan (Milano) is one of the biggest and most important cities in Italy, lying within the Lombardy area. Famous for its influential fashion industry and style, Milan is an enormous, spreading city and often quite hectic. The city's main attractions tend to be based between the Castello Sforzesco and the cathedral, being linked by the subway trains on the Metropolitana Milanese (MM).

Also of interest and within easy reach of Linate Airport (LIN) are the main sights, shops and galleries in the Brera area of Milan, on the northern side of the cathedral. For after hours entertainment, head to the southerly Navigli, or the more northerly Porta Garibaldi, where you will discover the trendy Corso Corso bars and an array of nightclubs.
