That's interesting. That means that I clean about six acres of carpet a year. No wonder I'm tired.

Of course cicadas have feet, along with wings and the ability to be very, very loud. After 17 years in the ground they are also (to put it gently) very, very horny.
As for me, I don't have square feet but I do get invited to quite a few weddings a year and get dragged out on the dance floor. I have two left feet. I have got to be the worst dancer on A2K.

I am suspicious of the answers in this thread. My feet aren't square, and i've never seen anyone with square feet.

@farmerman,
one acreft=(5280 ft/mi)^2*(1 mi^2/640 acre)*(1 ft/ft)=43560 ft^3/acreft= 75,271,680 in^3/acreft
1 tablespoon = 0.90234375 in^3
so
1 acreft=75,271,689 in^3/(0.90234375in^3/tsp)=83,417,965.7134 tsp (call it 83,417,966 tsp)

so one acre foot is about 83,417,966 tablespoons.

@Setanta,
That's probably why you never see square shoes. But we digress. Didn't take long for that thread to degenerate Smile .

@acre,
Hi,
9X4840=43,560sq.ft. Interesting factoid: if divided into 100's, in india it's referred as 1 'cent", which is: 435.60 sq. ft, which is the common unit of measure for housing plots..

@Lakshmanan,
Ive always been interested in the derivation of the "ping" as a unit of space in China and Taiwan.
I would rent office space in pings, There seems to be an even number divisibility of a ping to an acre. MAybe its not even relevant but I always thought a ping was related to a single plot for rice.
