One of the greatest icons of Bilbao is its football club: Atheltic. “San Mamés Barria", the new stadium, is the heart of a district that is in the throes of social, commercial and residential urban transformation. The area around “San Mamés" is a university area and hub for tourists arriving by coach as “BILBAO INTERMODAL”, the main bus station, is located in this area of the city.
New housing, new shopping and hospitality districts will join the establishments to be found along the streets in the vicinity of the stadium and bus station, Luis Briñas, Sabino Arana or other very lively ones, such as María Díaz de Haro or the Avenida del Ferrocarril.
