Michelbob's Championship Ribs & Steaks

I last wrote about Michelbob's in 2012. I show 13 check-ins. I have been here about 30 times or more.

We arrived at 6 pm on a Sunday. I thought it would be a long wait; however, our party of four was seated immediately.

Three of the 4 had hamburgers, and I had ribs. For $24.00, I had a rack of baby backs, corn on the cob, baked beans, Texas toast, and slaw. The baby backs are small, but you get more food than you can eat.
They serve their ribs wet, or for the nonpurist, they have sauce. I like my ribs wet and the sauced cooked in a little.

There are many more rib places in Naples since Michelbob's first opened. So the competition is stiff. However, I like this place and will come here for my rib fix.

Ate at Michelbobs Naples. Food was good. Service was terrible. Has to go up to the desk after 20 minutes of waiting to ask to get our drink order taken. Supervisor took it and promised us a server to come take our food order. 15 minutes later had to go ask for a server at the front desk. Order was taken and food delivered but server scurried off w/o giving us utensils so back to the front desk again.

If you are in the market for BBQ, go anywhere but Michelbobs.

This is a tough one to review... let me start by saying many people I know enjoy this restaurant and would rate it highly, but as this is my account for my personal opinions: it's three-stars.

So, I've been here multiple times - sat inside and out and always had good service despite it usually being busy! The interior decor is not my favorite - makes it feel dark, messy and unclean.

Now the food... big portions but otherwise mediocre. . .I'm not surprised they don't have many vegetarian options, but I can still be disappointed... I was told the salads are amazing - not really? I can make a better one at home. The chicken tenders were okay, but again, not spectacular. The onion rings had good flavor, but were all clumped together and really thin and oily... and the pie I got was partially frozen on the inside! Oh! The ranch is great, so that's important to note - most of their sauces are quite nice actually, so that is a saving grace.

Ultimately I think I'm just not the correct person for this restaurant and my experience reflects that. I probably won't return of my own accord.

If you're in the area stop and check this one out! The food was great and the restaurant itself is like a museum. Really nice people and priced very well. I could've eaten here all week and been happy.

Laid back BBQ restaurant, very reasonably priced. Ribs are excellent, baby back imported from Denmark! Good cold beer and great service.

Weird atmosphere, staff was a bit all over the place and it was crazy packed, but the food was super good. I would definitely come back.

Here with my sister and her husband, we had all kinds of barbecue - pulled pork, ribs, chicken breast, and not sure what else. Food was delicious hot juicy. Our waitress was fun and helped us with our ordering. Huge quantities. The place was a little rowdy, but not too bad... Just a fun place‼

Friendly local BBQ rib joint. Interior is spacious with spacious booth seating. The staff is friendly.
The ribs are very delicious- tender and falls off bone.
The onion rings are another fave.
If you need a rib fix, check 'em out!

Great baby back rib special on Tuesday. Ribs are very good. Coleslaw is exceptional Baked beans and baked potatoes are good also. Very good bbq restaurant. A good value.

BBQ down this way is kind of sparce. Good BBQ down this way is rare! Michelbob's is great BBQ! That's why this place is so crowded. If you wait too long to make reservations you'll have to settle for take out or something else.

There is no sense in going into each individual dish because I've had the entire menu here and everything is great! You'll want to try all the sauces and take home some of their rub!

Casual atmosphere just like you'd expect at a Southern BBQ joint. It's very busy so the servers don't have a lot of time to coddle you through the menu.

Don't wear white cloths, bib yourself up, dig in and go home with BBQ sauce stains smelling like a fire pit!
