Friends of the Monarchs is a committee of local residents united to advocate for restoration of critical monarch overwintering habitat on the Monterey Peninsula. We were motivated to re-establish the committee in memory of Ro Vaccaro who led the effort to preserve monarch overwintering habitat throughout Pacific Grove and the Monterey Peninsula in the early 1990s.
