The rotors of one aircraft appeared to clip the tail of the second, sending both aircraft hurtling to the ground in deadly tailspins. Shocking footage showed how the aircraft plummeted to the ground after the brutal collision, as Navy personnel standing on the parade square below looked on in horror.

Now that the Government's Rwanda Bill has passed, the Prime Minister has said 'nothing will stand in our way' of getting flights off the ground. The House of Lords ended the deadlock last night after MPs rejected a requirement that Rwanda could not be treated as safe until the secretary of state, having consulted an independent monitoring body, made a statement to Parliament to that effect. Migrants sent to Rwanda will be staying in £19-a-night tourist hotel Hope Hostel, a hostel in Nyabugogo, the Gasabo district of Kigali. They will have to get past metal detetctors and bag-scanners in airport-style security to enter the hotel.

Prince Louis turned six today and royal fans were hoping the Prince and Princess of Wales will keep up their tradition of releasing photographs to celebrate his birth. The Waleses were intending to release a photograph for Louis' birthday despite the frenzy over the manipulated family picture issued by Kensington Palace on Mother's Day, sources close to the family said last month. But the couple have not yet posted a new photograph online or shared the image with the media, despite having traditionally provided it to the press under an embargo the day before.

The family of the young person at the heart of the Huw Edwards scandal have sworn it is 'not the end' and they will keep fighting for answers despite his resignation. Britain's most famous newsreader, 62, has been off air since last July after he was accused of paying a young person for sexually explicit images. Today, it was announced he resigned from his £439,000-a-year job because of 'medical advice' from his doctors. There was no mention of allegations he sent more than £35,000 to a teenager in return for sexually explicit photographs. The parents of the young person involved have now spoken out about their worries over what his resignation means in the search for answers. Speaking to The Sun, the teenager's mother said: 'If Huw has been found to have done something wrong no action can be taken against him. My heart is broken.'

Jaylen Griffin, 12, was last seen on August 4, 2020 as he headed to a local grocery store in Buffalo, New York, but never returned home . He was reported missing two days later. The search for the little boy concluded on April 12, when Buffalo Police found Jaylen's body in the attic of a home on Sheffield Avenue. The discovery came too late for Jaylen's grieving mother, Joann Ponzo, who died in September without ever knowing what had happened to her son. Ponzo, 48, was seen crying and begging for her son to be found at a vigil just a month before she passed away.

Alec Baldwin has been caught on camera punching the phone of an anti-Israel protester who accosted him inside a New York City coffee shop. The protester, whose video was posted on X, formerly Twitter, by an anti-fascist interview show called Crackhead Barney & Friends, repeatedly asked Baldwin to say free Palestine. 'F**k Israel, f**k Zionism, please say it,' the protester said. Baldwin said 'can you do me one quick favor' before smacking the protesters phone from her hand.

Paedophile TV weatherman Fred Talbot has been spotted shopping at Waitrose after being released from prison early, after being convicted of indecent exposure to young boys.  The former biology teacher was convicted and jailed for five years in 2015 for indecently assaulting two pupils at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in the 1970s and 1980s. The disgraced former ITV weatherman was seen taking with two small jute bags of groceries in a trolley earlier today, as he made his way over his car, before lowering his shopping into the boot. 

Mike Dragich, 34, fought and subdued an 8-ft alligator in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sunday night. A licensed alligator trapper, Dragich was at a hockey game with his family when he heard about the rogue gator. Despite not having his trapping equipment with him, the MMA fighter rushed to the scene and captured the enraged alligator with his bare hands. Known as the 'Blue Collar Brawler,' Dragich has amassed a large online following. He's used the attention to promote his nonprofit that aims to prevent suicide among veterans.
