We are a German association that supports an orphanage in Kenya. On these pages we introduce you to the children and youth, the orphanage and our association.
We show socially disadvantaged young people in Kenya prospects. We accompany them on their way and motivate them to shape their own future. We at UPENDO Children’s Village impart values such as charity, honesty, gratitude, respect and a sense of responsibility in a family environment with role models. Our goal is to enable the UPENDO community to live a self-determined and secure life. With our commitment, we contribute to positively supporting Kenya’s society in the long term.
The Village
The village is located in Ukunda, about 30 km south of Mombasa near the popular vacation area of Diani Beach. We want to give the children and young people there a permanent and loving home, provide them with a school education and prepare them for an independent life.
