Waynesboro, GA-William Brent Cribb, 40, entered into rest Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Julius S. Cribb.

He is survived by his loving wife, Renee Shaw Cribb; a daughter, Sara Grace Michele Cribb; a son, David Shaw of Savannah, GA; mother, Rebecca Johnson Cribb of Camilla, GA; a brother, Julius S. Cribb, Jr., (Kimberly) of Woodstock, GA; a sister, Kimberly Cribb Nalin (Vince) of Newnan, GA; mother and father in law, Patricia and Bobby Shaw of Waynesboro; two sisters in law, Michele Sherman (John) of Appling, GA and Sheri Ledbetter (Tom) of Charleston, SC.; and many nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Westwood Schools in Camilla, GA.He earned an undergraduate degree in business education from Georgia Southern University and a master of education degree in leadership from Augusta State University.He served as teacher, coach, assistant principal, and headmaster at Edmund Burke Academy.In July of 2013, he joined the staff of Georgia Independent Schools Association, where he served as vice president. He dedicated his time to serving others and caring for his family. He spent his life leading others to Christ through his strong example. He was a beloved mentor and friend to many.The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the entire community for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.

Funeral Services were held 1pm Friday, March 20 at Edmund Burke Academy Gymnasium, officiated by Rev. Steve Hartman. Loving tributes were given by close friend, Pete Cates and Mike Godfrey, and family members, Michele Shaw Sherman, Kim Cribb Nalin, and Jay Cribb.Lauren Chancey, EBA graduate, paid beautiful tribute through touching music and song. Interment followed at Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Andrew Sherman, Nick Jackson, Pete Cates, Ricky Blackburn, Randy Broxton, Ray Miller, and David Sorrow. Honorary Pallbearers were Buddy Ethridge, Buddy Sorrow, and Terence Hennessy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Memorial Fund for Brent Cribb, which has been established for the purpose of Sara Grace's education. Mail contributions to: State Bank, PO Box 1269, Gray, GA 31032.
