De’Anthony Melton (back injury recovery) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Heat.

While optimism was high when Melton returned to action during the final week of the regular season, he remained restricted regarding playing time. He did not practice on Tuesday and will not be available for the Play-In game against the Heat. Also, it’s unknown if (or when) Melton will be available if the 76ers play their way into the playoffs.
KJ Martin

PHI Small Forward #1

KJ Martin (left great toe contusion) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Heat.

Martin missed Philadelphia’s last three games of the regular season, and his absence did not significantly impact fantasy basketball. Should he miss Wednesday’s game, that will also be the case for DFS tournaments. Ricky Council IV can absorb the minutes that would have gone to Martin.
Joel Embiid

PHI Center #21

Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Heat.

Embiid sat out Philadelphia’s regular-season finale, with 76ers coach Nick Nurse saying it was merely for precautionary reasons. The reigning MVP is questionable for Wednesday’s Play-In game, and while Mo Bamba would likely start if Embiid cannot play, Paul Reed would get most of the minutes.
Kevin Love

MIA Power Forward #42

Kevin Love (upper left arm contusion) is available for Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia.

Love played three minutes before exiting Sunday’s regular-season finale with a left arm injury. He’ll provide frontcourt depth off the bench but is unlikely to get the minutes needed to offer reliable value in DFS tournaments.
Duncan Robinson

MIA Shooting Guard #55

Duncan Robinson (left facet syndrome) is probable for Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia.

Robinson missed Miami’s last four games of the regular season, with Caleb Martin replacing him in the starting lineup. While he’s probable to play on Wednesday, Robinson will likely come off the bench. He and Tyler Herro have only been part of the same starting lineup twice this season.
Terry Rozier

MIA Shooting Guard #2

Terry Rozier (neck spasms) is out for Wednesday’s game against the 76ers.

After missing Miami’s final four regular-season games, Rozier will also miss the 7/8 Play-In tournament matchup with Philadelphia. The “good” news for the Heat is that Tyler Herro is back, and he filled the void in the starting lineup left by Rozier. Look for Caleb Martin to remain in the starting lineup, which boosts his DFS value.
Onuralp Bitim

CHI Small Forward #17

Onuralp Bitim (detached retina, right eye) is out for the postseason.

Bitim had a wrist issue late in the regular season, but the rookie played through it. The eye injury is far more severe, and it’s worth wondering if he will be ready to go when training camp begins in the fall.
Grayson Allen

PHX Shooting Guard #8

The Suns announced on Tuesday that Grayson Allen has agreed to an extension worth $70 million over four years.

Acquired from the Bucks as part of a three-team deal headlined by Damian Lillard, Allen has been excellent in his first season in Phoenix. He’s averaging career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and three 3-pointers while leading the NBA in 3-point percentage (46.1%).
Cam Reddish

LAL Small Forward #5

Cam Reddish (right ankle sprain) was downgraded to questionable for Tuesday’s Play-In tournament matchup with New Orleans.

After missing three games at the beginning of the month for personal reasons, Reddish played sparingly in the following two. He would then pick up DNP-CDs in the Lakers’ final two regular season games. His status downgrade isn’t significant, as Gabe Vincent passed Reddish in the rotation upon returning from knee surgery.
Blake Griffin

NBA Power Forward #91

Blake Griffin announced his retirement from the NBA after 14 seasons on Tuesday.

The Clippers’ first overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Griffin announced on Tuesday morning that he was hanging up his sneakers as a professional. After sitting out what should have been his rookie season with a knee injury, Griffin won Rookie of the Year honors in 2011 and earned five All-NBA and six All-Star selections during his career. In addition to the Clippers, he played for the Pistons, Nets, and Celtics, most recently appearing in 41 games for Boston during the 2022-23 season.
