WELCOME / CROESO

Beaumaris beach

Welcome to Beaumaris
At Beaumaris on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey you can explore a medieval castle, picnic on a beach, take a boat trip, discover pastel painted houses and see the work of local artists. Take a walk across a Victorian pier, do some serious shopping or just kick back in an ancient pub and try some award-winning food.

And with its excellent range of accommodation – from cosy guest house to luxurious hotel – Beaumaris caters for all tastes, including those who like to cater for themselves.

What’s more, there’s always something going on in Beaumaris. As well as regular live music and local produce markets, there’s an Easter egg hunt, an arts festival, fabulous fireworks on bonfire night, Victorian Christmas celebrations and historic events within the castle walls.

  1. Hello, I was visiting Beaumaris at New Year, and took a photograph which I would like some information on please. It is a plaque on the wall above The Nut House, on Castle Street. It reads “RHWB 1892”.
Can you shed some light on this please.
    Many thanks

      • RHWB signifies the building was built by the Williams-Bulkeley Estate, RH being the initials of the them Sir Richard (most men in the family are called Richard…)

    • Hi,
The plaque relates to to Richard Henry Williams Bulkeley. Bart. who were (and still are) the major landlords and land owners in this part of Anglesey.A well respected and much liked familly who still live in Beaumaris.
