Schönes, inhabergeführtes Hotel. Kleines, aber sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit großem Bett und sehr guten Matratzen. Haben sehr gut geschlafen. Lage 100 Meter zum Zürichsee und 600 Meter zum Opernhaus. Trotzdem sehr leise. Frühstück sehr gut und vielseitig, toller Kaffee. ALLE Mitarbeiter sehr nett. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Danke!

Ich liebe Boutique-Hotels absolut und dieses war perfekt für meinen ersten Aufenthalt in der Schweiz. Das Hotel liegt an einem wirklich ruhigen Ort in der Nähe des Sees und das Personal ist nett und höflich. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Seegarten war ein absolutes Vergnügen. Von dem Moment an, als ich durch die Türen trat, war ich von einer warmen, familiären Atmosphäre umgeben, die mir sofort das Gefühl gab, ein willkommener Gast und nicht nur ein Besucher zu sein.Ihre echte Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft schaffen eine Umgebung, die sowohl einladend als auch beruhigend ist.Ebenso beeindruckend sind die Unterkünfte im Hotel Seegarten. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und durchdacht gestaltet und bieten alle Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigen. Besonders geschätzt habe ich die Liebe zum Detail, von der gemütlichen Bettwäsche bis zur gut gefüllten Minibar.Meine Erfahrung im Hotel Seegarten war einfach außergewöhnlich. Wenn Sie nach einer Unterkunft suchen, in der Sie wie eine Familie behandelt werden, sind Sie hier genau richtig. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen

Dieser Ort ist herrlich. Freundliches Personal, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, komfortable, geschmackvolle und sehr saubere Zimmer. Nur einen Block vom See und einen kurzen Spaziergang von der Altstadt entfernt. Etwa zehn Minuten zu Fuß von einem Bahnhof oder ein paar Blocks von einer Straßenbahnhaltestelle entfernt.

Hatte eine schöne Erfahrung im Hotel Seegarten! Das Team ist absolut großartig. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel, das Team ist freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend und die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Ich habe das Frühstück jeden Morgen genossen – so lecker! Ich würde es allen Freunden empfehlen, die Zürich besuchen!

Guten Morgen,Wir waren mit der Qualität des Service, dem perfekten Frühstücksbuffet, dem geräumigen Zimmer und der Lage des Hotels in der Nähe der Oper zufrieden.Der Nachteil ist, dass meine Frau und ich die Matratzen als zu weich empfanden, sodass wir Rückenschmerzen hatten.Danke für deine Gastfreundschaft.Guy BrassardFrankreich

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Seegarten genossen. Das Personal war fantastisch, die Betten bequem, die Zimmer sehr sauber. Das Frühstück am Morgen ist eine wunderbare Auswahl an lokalem Fleisch, Käse, Gebäck und Marmelade. Wir haben kein Auto gemietet und hatten keine Probleme, die belebtesten Teile der Stadt zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zum Abendessen am Großmünster brauchten wir nur etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß.Wundervoller Aufenthalt!

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Zeit in Ihrem Hotel verbracht, das auch von der Einrichtung her angenehm ist. Das einzige Manko war das Sofa im Zimmer, das im Gegensatz zum sehr bequemen Bett zum Schlafen sehr unbequem war. Das Frühstück und der Frühstücksraum sowie das Zimmer wurden sehr geschätzt. Christy und der Rest des Personals waren phänomenal! Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt und wünschten, wir hätten länger bleiben können. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen großartig. Die Lage war perfekt und man konnte alles zu Fuß erreichen. Die kostenlosen Wasserflaschen wurden sehr geschätzt. Würde es wärmstens empfehlen.

Der Service und die Lage sind großartig, aber ansonsten eher mittelmäßig.Der größte Kritikpunkt sind die hauchdünnen Wände. Wenn Sie zufällig einen Nachbarn haben, der gerne lange aufbleibt und fernsieht, viel Glück beim Einschlafen!Das Frühstück ist bestenfalls durchschnittlich, für einen anderen Gaumen würde es vielleicht besser schmecken. Nachdem ich ziemlich viel gereist bin, ist das kalte Essen nichts Besonderes und es fehlt deutlich an warmen Speisen, hochwertigem Gebäck oder abwechslungsreichem Obst.

Perfekte Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück, aber ein recht kleines Zimmer mit einem winzigen Badezimmer, nicht groß genug, um sich mit dem Handtuch abzutrocknen!Aber das wirklich große Problem, das ich anderswo noch nie erlebt habe, ist die sehr schlechte Verwaltung des für den Tag aufbewahrten Gepäcks. Es scheint nichts wirklich geplant zu sein und das kommt dem Personal an der Rezeption normal vor. Ich musste mangels etwas Besserem einen Fotokoffer in der Küche anbringen.Als wir gegen 16 Uhr zurückkamen, stand unser anderer Koffer allein in der Mitte des Eingangs, für jeden zugänglich und NIEMAND an der Rezeption, der irgendetwas überwachte. Ehrlich gesagt passabel und sehr enttäuschend, außerdem gefährlich.---- UPDATE 5. DEZEMBER 2023 ----Hervorragende Nachbereitung seitens der Hotelleitung durch ein gestern eingegangenes Schreiben, das deutliche Verbesserungen im Hinblick auf das Gepäckmanagement verspricht. Entschuldigung gerne angenommen! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und andere Zimmer mit größeren Badezimmern ausprobieren. Vielleicht hatten wir letztes Mal Pech!

Schöne zwei separate Aufenthalte (4 Tage und 3 Tage) innerhalb von zwei Wochen für eine Urlaubs- und Geschäftsreise. Das Zimmer war ordentlich und geräumig und das Badezimmer groß und gut ausgestattet. Bett und Lounge waren schön. WLAN war ausgezeichnet. Da gibt es überhaupt keine Beschwerde. Aber das beste Highlight war wie immer das Personal: Alle waren hilfsbereit, entspannt und rücksichtsvoll, von der Rezeption über die Küche bis hin zur Zimmerausstattung. Gute Restaurants für Mittag- und Abendessen sind in der Nähe.Wieder 5 volle Sterne. Freue mich auf das nächste Mal.Long Vo-Phuoc, Sydney.

Wir waren hier für einen Wochenendausflug nach Zürich und haben meinen Aufenthalt absolut genossen! Auf Anhieb ist es im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß vom See entfernt, was schon ein Gewinn ist – und es waren etwa 8 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof, an dem Sie vom Flughafen aus ankommen.Die Zimmer waren geräumig und gepflegt und wir hörten kaum Geräusche, obwohl wir die Fenster die ganze Nacht geöffnet hatten.Am wichtigsten war, dass uns das Personal sehr gut gefallen hat! Wir waren beeindruckt von ihrer Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit – später erfuhren wir, dass es ein Familienbetrieb war, was absolut Sinn machte.Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder bei ihnen buchen, wenn ich in Zukunft wieder nach Zürich komme!

Die Lage ist großartig! Sie befinden sich direkt neben der Altstadt, dem Ufer und in der Nähe mehrerer Straßenbahnhaltestellen, von denen aus Sie bequem einsteigen und in ein anderes Viertel fahren können. Zum Hauptbahnhof Zürich SBB sind es ebenfalls ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß oder 10 Minuten mit dem Auto.Das Zimmer, das wir hatten, war geräumig genug, aber das Badezimmer war seltsam, wie in einigen anderen Bewertungen festgestellt wurde. Es ist so klein, aber dass die Toilette direkt neben der Badewanne lag und dass die Badewannenwand sehr hoch war, sodass man zum Hineinsteigen das Bein nach oben strecken muss, anstatt einfach hineinzusteigen.Das andere merkwürdige Ding ist das Schlüsselsystem... statt nur eines Schlüssels hat man technisch gesehen zwei. Sie benötigen einen separaten Schlüssel, um in das Gebäude zu gelangen, wenn es nachts verschlossen wird, und müssen diesen Schlüssel dann gegen Ihren Zimmerschlüssel eintauschen, wenn Sie Ihr Zimmer betreten möchten. Nicht das reibungsloseste System und nichts, was ich jemals zuvor für ein Hotel tun musste.Oh, und manchmal konnten wir nachts unsere Nachbarn über uns hören, es könnten nur die Leute gewesen sein, aber es klang, als würden die Leute lautstark herumstapfen. Es dauerte nicht lange und hielt uns lange wach, aber ich glaube nicht, dass das Gebäude besonders schallisoliert ist.

Nice, owner-managed hotel. Small but very nicely furnished room with a large bed and very good mattresses. Slept very well. Location 100 meters to Lake Zurich and 600 meters to the opera house. I absolutely love boutique hotels, and this one was perfect for my first stay in Switzerland. The hotel is in a really calm place near the lake, and the staff is nice and polite. I would definitely come back.

This place is delightful. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, comfortable, tasteful, and very clean rooms. Just a block from the lake and a short walk to old town. About a ten minute walk to a train station or a couple blocks to a tram station.
Very good and quiet hotel in a good location. The room was cosy and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast is also varied, and all the employees are very friendly.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel Seegarten. The staff was fantastic, beds comfortable, rooms very clean. The breakfast in the morning is a wonderful spread of local meats, cheeses, pastry's, and jams. We didn't rent a car and had no trouble walking to the main busy parts of the city. It only took us about 15 minutes to walk to dinner by the Grossmunster.Wonderful stay!
We had a very good time in your hotel which is also pleasant in its furnishings. The only flaw was the sofa in the room which was very uncomfortable for sleeping, unlike the very comfortable bed. The breakfast and the breakfast room, like the room, were much appreciated. You were all very courteous and it was a nice stay for us

Service and Location are great but beyond that a rather middling affair.Main gripe is the paper thin walls, if you happen to have a neighbour that likes to stay up late watching TV good luck falling asleep!Breakfast is average at best, maybe for a different palate would taste nicer. Having travelled a fair amount the cold food is nothing special and there is a distinct absence of hot food, quality pastries or varied fruits.
Perfect location, very good breakfasts, but a fairly small room with a tiny bathroom, not big enough to be able to dry off with your towel!But the real big problem, which I have never encountered elsewhere, is the very poor management of luggage kept for the day. Nothing really seems planned for and this seems normal to the reception staff. I had to attach a photo suitcase in the kitchen for lack of anything better.When we returned, around 4 p.m., our other suitcase alone, in the middle of the entrance, accessible to everyone and NO ONE at reception to monitor anything. Frankly passable and very disappointing in addition to being dangerous.---- UPDATE DECEMBER 5, 2023 ----Excellent follow-up from the hotel management, via a letter received yesterday, which promises to improve things very clearly with regard to baggage management. Apologies gladly accepted! We will certainly come back to try other rooms equipped with larger bathrooms. Maybe we were unlucky last time!

Lovely 2 separate stays (4 days & 3 days) within a fortnight for a holiday & business trip. The room was neat & spacious and the bathroom large and well appointed. Bed and lounge were nice. Wi-fi was excellent. No complaint at all there. But the staff were, as always, the best highlight: everyone was helpful, relaxed and considerate, from the front desk to the kitchen to the room amenities. Good restaurants for lunches and dinners are nearby.5 full stars again. Look forward to the next time.Long Vo-Phuoc, Sydney.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway to Zurich and we absolutely loved my stay! Right off the bat, it's literally a few minutes walk from the lake, which is already a win - and it was around an 8-minute walk from the station that you arrive into from the airport.The rooms were spacious and meticulous, and we barely heard any noises despite keeping the windows open all night.Most importantly, we loved the staff! We were impressed by their friendliness and attentiveness - we later learned that it was family-run which made total sense.Definitely will rebook with them if I visit Zurich again in the future!

The location is great! You're right next to Old Town, the waterfront and near multiple tram stops to easily hop on and zip to another neighborhood. You're about a 30min walk or a 10min commute to the main Zurich SBB station as well.The room we had was spacious enough, but the bathroom was odd like some other reviews have noted. It's so much that it was small, but that the toilet was like right next to the bathtub and that the bathtub wall was really high, you have to stretch your leg up and over to get in as opposed to just stepping in.The other odd thing is the key system... instead of just having a key, you technically have two. You need a separate key to get into the building when they lock it at night, and then have to trade that key in for your room key when you're ready to go to your room. Not the most seamless system and not something I've ever had to do for a hotel before.Oh, and we could hear our neighbors above us at night sometimes, could have just been the people but it sounded like people were loudly stomping around. It didn't go on for too long where it kept us up late, but I don't think the building is super sound proof.

Perfect 4 days stay in this charming hotel very close to the lake. Cherry on the cake, you have a free access to Utoquai which is the best place to have a swim in the lake. We will be back. Just a small point as there is no air conditioning but temperature was okay during the night
We stayed at the Hotel Seegarten for a week and felt very comfortable. Thanks to the hotel team for the pleasant stay. The short walk to the lake is also a plus. You can get everywhere easily by public transport.
The hotel was okay. Definitely would not stay again. They had no air conditioning and it was never disclosed or mentioned on their website. We had to sleep with the windows open and got bitten by insects. It was very hot but thank goodness a cold front came in on day 2 of our stay.
Dear Seegarten Hotel team,You have such a beautifully situated hotel and only a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Lake Zurich! In a quiet street and still so close to Lake Zurich, our stay with you was incredibly nice. We had room A, it was large, very, very clean and they cleaned every day and everything was lovingly prepared, you couldn't be better looked after in Zurich. The breakfast is prepared as sweet as sugar and there is something for every personality, the sweet service lady is a dream at breakfast and you immediately feel very comfortable and captured in the romantic flair of Zurich charm and want to stay forever. Everyone in this cute hotel is incredibly friendly and helpful - they have a key system that is so great - that's why this cute, romantic hotel has to keep coming back! Everything is within a 15-19 minute walk what to see, Uber rides works wonderfully in Zurich and the food is very great at the Lake Side Restaurant 15 minute walk right on Lake Zurich. A terrific and comfortable hotel with a stellar staff. Located a mere block from the swimming pavilion at Utoquai and a short walk to Stadelhofen station. Highly recommended
The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly! They are only a block from the lake as well. The only negative is that they don’t have AC so it was pretty hot in the room in the summer so be aware if you are traveling in the summer time! Otherwise, 10/10 spot!
Location was great! Centrally located, nice area, great rooms, very clean! Only challenge was no Air-conditioning and we stayed in the middle of the summer.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was clean, the breakfast was very good. Though it was exactly at the time of the Zuri Fascht, the hotel is ideally located in the street, next to where all the celebrations are taking place, so you are not in the middle of all the crowds. We would definitely stay here , whenever visiting Zurich ! 🙏☺️

Too far to walk from the train station, but easily can get there on the trolley. There is no AC and if you are staying during the summer on a weekend, it is a popular place for the young crowd to park so it is very loud on the street below with the windows open. The breakfast was very nice. The rooms are really charming other than no AC in the summer. The front desk told us there was no food at the hotel other than breakfast which wasn't true, so that was disappointing. They also weren't very helpful with info on transportation and basically had to google just like I did. An added bonus is use of the swim club, though we didn't have time to use it. This is also pretty far from the attractions. I likely would stay elsewhere if we go back to Zurich.
Lovely and charming hotel in a perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The only thing to be careful is that not all rooms are air conditioned - you just have to pay attention when you book if that is important to you. The room without air conditioning did have a good Dyson fan though.
The staff was amazing, especially Chrissy at the front desk and Sarah who provided breakfast service. The location was lovely, close enough to town but not in the middle of the city. The floors in my room were very noisy but not an issue.
Everyone at Hotel Seegarten was super friendly, helpful and fun. We will stay here again when we return to Zurich. Highly recommended!!John & Kelley

Have stayed at Hotel Seegarten easily over 10 times for work travel - every single time has been an absolute pleasure. As someone who spends a lot of time in hotels for work travel, I always feel like I’m coming back to a familiar homey space when I return to this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, the location is perfect, the breakfast is simple but delicious and most importantly - the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
One of the best Hotels I've been in Switzerland, located at the city of Zurich, it's brings to you the 50's atmosphere , and it's very comfortable and highly clean. The employees are very friendly and do care about you. The breakfast are tasteful and are so many kinds of harcuterie(smoked ones) as salami, a lot of cheese and colored eggs, baskets of different kinds of bread, jams, butters, and coffee, milk, hot chocolate. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Type of retorno style that amused us. I recommend.
What a trouvaille in the heart of Zurich! A fabulous Hotel. Small, comfortable and super friendly. The weekend special comes with tickets for the tram (public transport) and a chest nut (Marroni) voucher. The perfect place to spend a few days in our favorite city. Bravo to the team. We will definitely be back.
A great hotel that’s very well located! Staff was kind, and breakfast was good. This hotel gave us a small town feel in the city of Zurich. Lost a star because the rooms are small, but if you’re traveling as a couple or single, you won’t mind the room size very much - you’ve got too much to see in Zurich anyway!
Seegarten is awesome, I travel to Zurich every month for business trips, I have stayed in a lot of places around this area and now I choose Seegarten every time without any doubt. Breakfast is good, always clean rooms if you’ll be lucky enough you will get a room with a bathtub - to relax after a stressful day. In a room you can find all you need, starting from face napkins ends with a shoe sponge. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from the lake - a great location to have a nice walk in the evening or have a morning run. Opera, tram and train stop, a lot of restaurants, coop - you can get whatever you want in 5 minutes walk. A separate big Thank you to the staff, they care about every small thing. This hospitality should be set as an example for a lot of the hotels in Europe. When you are coming like home and somebody is welcoming you by your name and saying they are so happy that you are staying again and again. Always a pleasure to stay with you, dear Seegarten team. The hotel was close to the lake and the town centre. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone was kind and helpful. Also it isnear the train station, which is directly connected to the airport. We enjoyed our staying to Hotel Seegarten and this choice made our trip to Zurich unforgettable!!!

The hotel was very comfortable, both beds and pillows. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved sitting outside at breakfast which was delicious. Very good location for getting around.
I had a great stay here. Quality- value is perfect. Rooms are very nice, everything you need is there. Beds are very comfy. Very pretty terrace to have breakfast or drink. Location is amazing- 4min from the lake in the most beautiful area of Zurich- Seefeld. But above all I must say service is super friendly and extremely helpful! Great hospitality!
Superb hotel. We stayed here for 9 comfy nights. Memory foam mattress is top of the line. First level allows for relaxing outside in the gardens and adjacent woods; with quiet and peaceful sounds of nature so many birds and scent of flowers and trees. Great location, close to everything but in the countryside. Service was impeccable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The linen is top of the line pure cotton; soft and very important for me. The room is spacious. Updated and so clean. Restaurant is very good. In my view this hotel is equivalent to a 4 star hotel in the USA. Would stay here again for sure if I come to that area. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.
It was my first time in Zurich & I was traveling with my adult daughters. We were greeted warmly by the receptionist. The room was large & comfortable, as well as had many extras we were not expecting! A shout out to receptionist Christy who made our stay even more welcoming & relaxing 😌 I would stay here again & hope to soon!
The service was absolutely excellent. I was quite nervous about checking in, as I was traveling from the United States but the staff were exceptionally kind and patient. I stayed in this lovely room on the second floor; the room was clean, bright and I had no issues. I definitely look forward to returning in June/July for another stay.

Cozy little hotel in the middle of Zurich. Very friendly staff. Room was quite nice in size and comfortable. Amenities top notch. Our stay here was a good experience. Breakfast was good as well, nice coffee.
The location! The interiors! The amenities! Everything top notch. The only (very small) downfall was that the receptionists were sometimes not so nice.They could also think about getting a proper coat roam near the reception to store some luggage for clients instead of asking them to just leave it near the elevator. The breakfast was decent, nothing extraordinary (you cant request pancakes or omelettes additionally as you normally do in continental breakfast buffets of hotels). For these 2 reasons i reduce a star. But if I am back in Zurich (especially in Summer) I would without question stay here. Tip: the bathroom of the restaurant is amazing/spotlessly clean. In summer you have free entrance to Utoquai badi.
