  • NYM Third Baseman #27
Vientos will head back to the minors after the team activated Starling Marte from the bereavement. The 24-year-old went 3-for-7 with two RBI in his three games while with the Mets, so he did himself some good to be considered for a call up later in the season if there is an open slot.
  • NYM Center Fielder #6
The 35-year-old returns to the active roster after a few days on the bereavement list. Marte is slashing an impressive .288/.327/.442 with four homers and 12 RBI in his 111 plate appearances this season.
  • NYM Third Baseman #15
Brosseau was released by the Royals last week and now finds himself with the Mets organization where he’ll be a utility depth piece for New York. The 30-year-old journeyman has played SS, 2B, 3B, 1B, RF, LF and has even pitched in the majors.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #58
Gilbreath was placed on the injured list prior to the regular season and will need more time to get back to full strength. He could return at some point during the middle of the season, but as of now, it doesn’t look like the Rockies are rushing him back anytime soon.
  • COL Left Fielder #22
Jones was removed from last Sunday’s game due to back tightness and now will head to the injured list until at least mid-May. The 25-year-old is slashing .170/.243/.277 through his first 26 games this season, which is definitely a disappointment for fantasy managers that drafted him expecting more of the same in 2023, but he’s hit somewhat of a sophomore slump.
  • COL Left Fielder #80
The Rockies’ No. 4 prospect is getting the call up as team places Nolan Jones on the injured list. The 23-year-old outfielder has been crushing it at the Triple-A level this season where he’s batting .307/.405/.594 with five homers and 28 RBI in 25 games this season. He’ll be playing in left field and batting eighth in Colorado’s lineup on Wednesday.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #51
The 32-year-old right-hander will hit waivers with the Twins activating Jhoan Duran from the injured list. Bowman made five appearances across 11 days and posted a solid 2.35 ERA and six strikeouts across 7 2/3 innings of work. It would be shocking if a team didn’t take a chance on the journeyman.
  • MIN Relief Pitcher #59
Duran will make his season debut this week, reclaiming his role as Minnesota’s closer, following a one-month stint on the injured list to open the year. He was sent to Triple-A St. Paul for a rehab assignment over the weekend and it appears all went well and he’s been given the green light to return to the active roster. The 26-year-old finished last year with a career-high 27 saves and a 2.45 ERA across 62 2/3 innings.
  • DET Third Baseman #40
Kennedy heads down to the minors after the team activated Andy Ibáñez from the injured list. The 25-year-old posted a .808 OPS in his six games played with Detroit where he racked up four RBI this season.
  • Relief Pitcher #73
Cardinals selected the contract of RHP Kyle Leahy.
Leahy will be the 27th man on the active roster for Tuesday’s doubleheader. The 26-year-old made just three appearances for St. Louis last season and will likely be sent back down to the minors following a short stint with the Cardinals.
