“I view Dover as my home track, it’s closest to home. If you could drive across the bay, it would be really close. It’s close to home, for sure. I’ve been going there a long time and it’s a place that means a lot to me, starting early in my Busch Series career, and doing some racing there in my dad’s car, and my first Cup win there, as well. We’ve had a lot of success there, too. It’s a special place for me and I love going there, it feels like home. We have a lot of friends and family who go to that race, as well, and hoping we can get them a win with our Bass Pro Shops Camry.”

“Last year was one of the greatest days of my life and I’ll forever be grateful to Joe Gibbs Racing for helping me earn that moment. Considering Dover is also a home track for me, I’m filled with nostalgia, excitement, and a ton of optimism towards what we can do on Saturday. I’ve always loved going to Dover and after last year, its fair to say I’ll love that place even more this time around. In terms of following up, I feel really good about the car we’re bringing, the team I have behind me, and my ability at this track. Nothing comes easy in this sport and we’ll have our work cut out for us no matter what, but as a driver all you can ask for is a shot to win and I think that’s exactly what we have this weekend. It’s time to execute and show the world what we’re capable of.”
