Facilitating wisdom and insight into life. Helping to achieve ongoing happiness, well being and success.

ABout ME

I have been a registered psychologist over 20 years and been in private practice for over 15. Apart from private practice, I have mostly worked in the Non-profit and Mental Health Hospital settings, primarily in the areas of Trauma and acute Mental illness. For over 20 years I been providing professional development training on a variety of topics from Stress Management & Occupational Mental Health and Safety, Mindfulness, Trauma & Vicarious Tramatisation. My private practice work is currently utilising Telehealth and is therefore available to all locations.

I have over 10 years experience as a board approved AHPRA supervisor. I have completed advanced training in CBT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Narrative and Existential Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Mindfulness. I am also a Yoga teacher and trainer with accreditation & experience in Trauma Sensitive Yoga.

I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to therapy to ensure that approach that is used, the areas that are covered and the overall pace of the therapy is tailored specifically to your needs. You should come away from your very first session with a much stronger idea of what is possible.

I am also psychologist with lived experience of trauma and mental illness. Including alcohol, drug use and criminal behaviour as a teenager, as well as later vicarious traumatisation and PTSD as a psychologist working with Torture Victims in long term Immigration detention. Most importantly I have experienced traumatic growth from my mental illness and believe I am a more effective therapist and human being from living and growing through my experiences and undertaking my own therapy. My ideal client is someone willing to work holistically on all levels of their life to achieve a resilience and growth that not only promotes a deeper wisdom and insight into life but that also encourages genuine attitude and lifestyle changes that help achieve ongoing happiness, well being and success.
